Sociology

Sociology is a discipline that offers a distinct perspective on the study of human behaviour, groups and societies.  The discipline is concerned with the understanding of the complex network of social relationships, how they shape people’s behaviour and action and the operations of the broader social system.

Students learn about basic social institutions such as the family, the economy, the educational, political and religious institutions, and how these shape and influence human and social development.
