Tiro Sebina joined the department of English, University of Botswana as Staff Development Fellow in 1993. He is a literature lecturer, a literary critic, a specialist in literary theories(classical and contemporary), a poet, a creative writing teacher and coach, a literary activist, a culture and arts journalist, book reviewer, a blogger and an editor. He is the coordinator of University of Botswana Writers' Workshop. He is a musician, he plays the guitar, piano and the saxophone. He is also a painter or fine/visual artist. He has served as Chair of the Writer's Association of Botswana(WABO). He is a Trustee and Treasurer of the Bessie Head Heritage Trust. He is also a member of the Botswana Society for Jazz Education(BOSJE) as well as a member of Thapong Visual Arts Centre. His poems appear in publications as varied as: Dreams of Enduring Joy (2004). An Anthology of Botswana Poetry(2002), Mokwadi, Poetrymine, Avocado, Coventration (2004, CD Complitation), Marang, Mahube, Prairie Schooner, African Voices: Poetry &Tales(2019), Productive Rights in Poetry, Poetry in 1001 Languages(1998) and Badilisha Exchange.
