I am a medical doctor with postgraduate training in Clinical Microbiology (India). I am involved in teaching and training the MBBS students. I am also interested both in clinical and laboratory research related to infectious diseases.
I have worked at Primary Health centres, Private Hospitals and in government hospitals in India.
In Botswana, I worked as a general practitioner at a private clinic in Kanye and also at Botswana Harvard AIDS Initiative Partnership for a period of five years, as a Study Physician and as Study Coordinator for various HIV infection related clinical studies.
At present, in UB I am involved in multidisciplinary research projects related to infectious diseases.
My main teaching area is related to infectious diseases and microbiology.
I am involved in teaching and training MBBS students
I am interested in research related to Infectious diseases, Healthcare associated Infections and antimicrobial resistance.
Co-Supervising an MMed Anaesthesia student .
Topic: A clinical audit on Central venous catheter maintenance in the adult intensive care unit of a tertiary hospital in Botswana.
