Dr Phologolo has extensive experience working in leadership roles in the Public Health sector in Botswana. His work has been mainly in the policy and programming aspect of public health. Prior to joining the University of Botswana his work as a consultant was done primarily for government of Botswana and UN agencies. Dr Phologolo has an extensive list of commissioned health research, policy reviews and program evaluations. Some of the project done included; Elucidation of strengths and limitations of HIV programs, Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive health and Rights, Assessment of Unintended Pregnancy and associated factors, TB in the mines. His current academic research interest is on identifying relevant interdisciplinary approaches to assist policy makers in prioritizing and implementing value adding strategies to address the health disparities affecting adolescents and other marginalized groups.
