Dr. Kgomotso Jongman is a community practice and youth specialist with the University of Botswana. He has a Phd in Social work specializing in youth development. His interest in youth development ranges from, youth entepreneurship, positive youth development and youth resilence. Jongman has been with the University of Botswana for the past 5 years where he has taught and supervised students and published more than 8 articles and one academic book. Jongman has a book on the history of Social work in Botswana which was pusblished in 2015 (Foretelling the history of social work: A Botswana perspective). He does not only publish academic books he has also published two motivational books called Legacy and Persevere or Perish. Dr. Jongman has been active in the profession of social work as he was the president of the Botswana National Association of Social workers (BONASW) for 4 years (2010-2014), and he has been the Human Rights Commissioner for International Federation of Social Workers. Dr. Jongman is also keen in helping in the community as he has been on national radio and televesion talking on issues of social well being of the nation. Dr. Jongman is not only serving the nation he is also active in the the department of social work as seminar committee member which is tasked with organizing seminars that are supposed to tackle real social issues and try to come up with solutions.
