I have over a decade of clinical experience in Obsterics and Gynaecology and I am passionate about the improvement of maternal and child health outcomes.I completed my internship training at Mulago National teaching hospital.I then served at a faith based district hospital Kiwoko Hospital for 3 years after which I joined my residency program at the Makerere University Medical School/Mulago national teaching and referral Hospital. I then worked at a public Mbale regional referral Hospital that was also an OBGY medical student elective rotation site and medical internship training site as a Specialist OBGY and adjunct lecturer at the Mbale School of Clinical officers.I joined University of Botswana July 2012 as one of the 3 founding faculty of the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in August 2012 as lecturer and thereafter as senior lecturer.I served as Acting Head of department 2018/2019.I have been involved in the developing and growth of teaching and assessment materials for the undergraduate programme and more recently with the development of the OBGY residency programme that was launched January 2020.I also offer full range of specialist OBGY clinical services at the Princess Marina Hospital UB Medical school teaching site.
I teach general Obstetrics and Gynaecology to both Junior and senior clerkship OBGY undergraduate rotations in year 3 (SOM 406) and year 5(SOM 503) respectively using the guided PBL education model.I also offer introductory sessions to Maternal Health to year 2 (SOM 303).
I teach residents during their clinical apprenticeship at the Princess Marina Hospital as well as in their formal didactic sessions.

Prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV
Cervical cancer prevention and treatment outcomes
Malaria in pregnancy
Post abortion care and post-pregnancy family planning
Labour outcomes in trial of labour after prior caesarean delivery
Birthing positions and postures
and Innovations in Medical education
Co-supervisor on a postgraduate project to evaluate effectiveness ad safety of Innovative methods of non pharmacological induction of labour such "extended balloon catheter induction"
