Mr. Moffat Fanah Kgotlaetsile is a lecturer in the Department of Primary Education as from 2nd September 2019. Previously he taught for 7 years at Serowe College of Education offering Social Studies (both Academic and professional studies) and 13 years in primary schools. I work hard to create a learning environment that fosters critical thinking and problem solving. The aim is that all students grow up to be engaged members of society, who understand not only the facts presented in books and lectures, but the questions they need to ask based on the information they learn. My expectation from students taking my courses is for them to become self-directed learners, engaging their natural curiosity about the material presented and taking that curiosity to the next level. My approaches in teaching are based on developing critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills to open up students’ curiosity and interest in their learning process. I see myself and our work in the classroom as the springboard for their further exploration.
