Bachelor of Education: Physical Education, Health and Recreation (University of Botswana).

MSc; Sport Science:  Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science, Adapted P.E. (UH, Manoa, USA).

Mr Makgwakae joined the University of Botswana in November 2012. He previously worked in different departments in the public service. He was engaged in developing the curriculum for Sport and Recreation for Botswana Technical and Vocational Education.  Mr Makgwakae also implemented and taught this programme which is currently offered at technical colleges. He was one of the pioneers of Physical Education at Secondary Schools. He is engaged in different curriculum development and validation forums such as; Botswana Junior and Senior Secondary Schools P.E, Technical and Vocational Education Sport and Recreation Curriculum, Disability Support Services Policy Review Forums. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Hawaii, USA.
