TEMPORARY PART-TIME DEMONSTRATORS

VACANCY NO. FHS/ SOAHP 2/ 2020

Duties: Successful applicants will be expected to: (i) Prepare materials for undergraduate practical sessions. (ii) Demonstrates clinical laboratory science skills to students during practical sessions. (iii) Maintains acceptable safety standards in the laboratories and associated working areas. (iv) Handle human biological specimens. (v) Demonstrate the correct use of equipment to students during laboratory sessions. (vi) Cleaning up after practical sessions. (vii) The position reports to the Senior Technician.

Requirements: Candidates should have; (i) at least a Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any related field and; (ii) registered with Botswana Health Professions Council as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician. The following will be added advantages; (i) working experience in the medical laboratory cognate disciplines (i.e. Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Clinical Microbiology, Clinical Chemistry, Molecular Biology or Histology; (ii) flexibility to work during the day; (iii) good technical and communication skills.

Remuneration: As per approved part-time rates.
