AUDIOVISUAL SECTION, EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY UNIT

The University of Botswana is seeking to employ Temporary Assistant Technicians in the Audiovisual Section of the Educational Technology Unit, Centre for Academic Development. The successful candidates will provide audiovisual technical assistance to the Technicians.

Requirements: Applicants must have: (i) 2-year Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field, (ii) At least one year experience in an audiovisual support environment, (iii) Potential to develop through practical in-service training and full-time study.

Duties: The successful candidates will be expected to: (i) Maintain records on all faulty audiovisual equipment, (ii) Ensure proper housekeeping of equipment, (iii) Assist in setting up equipment for various events and educational purposes, (iv) Work independently or under the supervision of higher-level technical staff, (v) Report to the Technician Level and being responsible for the upkeep and support of audiovisual equipment.
