PART-TIME LECTURERS IN DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTING AND BUSINESS STUDIES

VACANCY NO: CCE/DEPE 1/2021

The University of Botswana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the posts of Part-Time Lecturers to teach at the following centres:  a) Gaborone, b) Lobatse

c) Selebi Phikwe, d) Mahalapye, e) Francistown, f) Maun, g) Jwaneng. Applicants should already be resident in Botswana holding a valid residence permit (if non-citizen) and stationed at or near their respective centres. Classes are held from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.

Courses to be taught at Diploma level in Accounting and Business Studies are:

Semester – I (July 2021 to December 2021)

COM 021- Introduction to Communication and Academic Literacy Skills –I

ICT 021 -Computing and information skills –I

Duties: The successful applicants will be expected to engage in teaching, setting and invigilating tests/examinations, marking and other related duties in the DABS programme.

Requirements:  Applicants should have: (i) a Doctorate in respective subject/s, (ii) show evidence of engagement in research, (iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement as well as teaching experience at a university or comparable institution will be added advantages.

NB: In special circumstances a Master’s Degree, a bachelor’s degree with at least a 2(i) pass or GPA of 3.6 may be considered on a contract basis

The CV should inter alia, provide a detailed list of courses (if any) ever taught and the levels at which they were taught, as well as research and publications where applicable.

Remuneration:  The University of Botswana offers a competitive hourly rate for part-time services. .
