PART-TIME LECTURER IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY - DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

VACANCY NO. 1054 - PART-TIME LECTURER IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: (i) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering in particular (Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid  Mechanics and related areas); (ii) Supervise undergraduate student research projects; (iii) Conduct research in relevant area and also complement existing research activities in the area; (iv) Participate in other academic and professional activities of the department; (v) Render professional service and carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements:  Applicants should have preferably PhD in Mechanical Engineering or at least a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a first degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of second-class upper division (2(i)).
