DEPARTMENT OF ANAESTHESIA AND CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE
LECTURER
VACANCY NO: FM/ANA 1/2020
Duties: The successful candidate will: (i) teach undergraduate medical students and postgraduate residents; (ii) conduct research and/or creative professional works in his/her areas of expertise and supervise medical students’ research projects; (iii) provide service to the university, profession and community; (iv) provide clinical care in affiliated hospitals; and (v) carry out any other duties as assigned by the head of the department.
Requirements: Applicants should have; (i) at least a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery or other recognized Medical doctor qualification (MD); (ii) a specialist qualification in Anaesthesia; (iii) the qualification must be registerable by the Botswana Health Professions Council with a specialist status. Added advantages: (i) evidence of governance and social engagement; (ii) teaching experience at a university or comparable institution; (iii) record of engagement in quality improvement in their regular work.
