FULL-TIME DEMONSTRATOR IN STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING (1 Position)

DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING

VACANCY NO: IRC 1582

Duties: The successful applicant will be expected to: (i) assist with teaching, laboratory practicals/demonstration and tutorials, (ii) mark students’ scripts and laboratory reports, and (iii) perform any responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: (i) At least a BEng/BSc with 2.2 or better in Civil Engineering, (ii) a minimum of one year experience as a teaching/graduate assistant in (a) Theory of Structures and (b) Analysis & Design of Structures, and/or sustained industrial experience in a reputable Civil Engineering consulting firm or research institute, and (iii) registered or eligible for registration with a professional engineering body. Current postgraduate students in the Department of Civil Engineering will be given priority.

Remuneration: As per approved University of Botswana part time rates.
