ASSISTANT MANAGER – HEALTH AND WELLNESS (CONTRACT POSITION)

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to; (i) To coordinate the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of multi-level campus-wide health education & promotion programs. (ii) To develop health promotion & education operational guidelines and their implementation plan.(iii) To identify strategic partnerships and grants opportunities to improve health promotion & education services at the University of Botswana (iv) To participate in the development and distribution of health related IEC material targeted at different groups within the University community (v) Provision of quality biometric screening for selected non-communicable diseases and HIV testing for the University community. (vi)Health promotion & education program related data/information management. (vii) Supervise subordinates and monitor their progress through the performance management system and (viii) attend to any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements: Candidates should have (i) a minimum of Bachelors Degree in Health Education or related field (Nursing, Public Health etc) (ii) At least 2 years post qualification experience in the related field; (iii) A demonstrable experience in clinical work, HIV testing, non-communicable disease screening, health promotion and community health programs will be an added advantage. (iv) A relevant Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
Qualities: Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication. Ability to work effectively with students, staff and family members, Ability to work independently to manage multiple priorities, Computer literacy.
