Duties: The successful applicant will report directly to the Manager, General Services, and will be expected to supervise and assist in the day to day cost effective organization, coordination and control in respect of the provision of mail handling, provision of reprographics and telecommunication systems service and be able to assist in optimizing office automation facilities within the institute. Assist in cost effective use and optimization of available resources in the management of switchboard system, telephone systems and reprographics system. Assist in the auditing of contracts, orders, vouchers and prepare reports of the Unit after due consultation with the Manager. Liaise with the sub-contractors on matters pertaining to maintenance of equipment and/or installation.
Requirements: Applicants should have: A Degree/Diploma in Social Sciences or Business studies. At least three years prior experience at supervisory level in management/administration of any of the following: reprographics, records management, postal services, switchboard or any other administrative support services in a large organisation preferably in the tertiary education sector.
Competencies: Applicants must have Supervisory and leadership skills; (ii) Organizational and communication skills; (iii) be assertive, innovative and pro-active.
